About Our Programs

PAA offers open access to high quality arts instruction through engagement by professional artist-educators. PAA's multi-disciplinary programs create meaningful learning opportunities that demonstrate the dynamic relationships between the arts, diversity, critical thinking and intergenerational learning. Educational offerings include in-school, after-school, and community outreach programs, summer camps, and teacher training workshops.

In-School and After-School Programs

PAA's in-school and after-school programming includes performances, workshops, assemblies, lectures, and extended residencies. All of PAA's programs utilize the contemporary arts to reach students in new ways. In-school residencies are designed to meet academic curriculum standards in an effort to enhance students' daily learning and academic achievement.

Summer Programs

PAA summer camps are a unique opportunity for students to meet new friends, share, and explore while developing their imagination, creativity, and self-esteem skills through hands-on arts experiences. Our dynamic camps include the RHAPSODY Hip-Hop Summer Arts Camp and Music of My Mind: Creating Musical Biographies Intergenerational Filmmaking Camp.

Professional Development

Professional development workshops for educators provide creative methods for use in the K-12 classroom. Programs focus on integrating the contemporary arts into the curriculum and provide sample lesson plans. PAA presents programs at local professional development in-service days and host sites throughout the country. To schedule a program, call 216.556.0337.

Community Outreach Programs

Outreach programming takes place in community centers, libraries, neighborhood parks and other community spaces throughout the school year and summer. Outreach program topics include electronic music, visual arts, poetry writing, dance, animation, filmmaking, drumming, and career options in the arts. Outreach programs also include dynamic performances by PAA's artists and students.
